André Laus has over 30 years of senior-management experience encompassing CEO/COO and leverage buyout owner roles. He is a turnaround professional skilled in financial restructuring and lender negotiation.
Mr. Laus co-founded Bristol Group (which later merged with TRG, one of CRG Partners’ predecessor firms), completing numerous assignments involving workout, strategic planning and management change initiatives. His broad industry experience includes:

Mr. Laus is skilled at a wide variety of functional disciplines – such as manufacturing, marketing, human resources, finance and strategic planning – and he frequently assumes interim management roles.
A few of his noteworthy assignments include:
- Co-chief restructuring officer of a $600 million financial services company that was greatly over leveraged; Mr. Laus helped guide it through Chapter 11 and it emerged intact with significantly less debt and a continuing record of profitability
- Provided strategic direction to board of directors of a major truck parts buying group; his plan brought significant growth in revenue and in membership
- Advised a leading photography company in its turnaround and strategic sale; he managed cash flow, initiated cost reductions, and implemented a restructuring strategy that paid off lenders and provided several million dollars in equity
- Advisor for a foam rubber producer that was liquidating assets within a consensual Chapter 11; Mr. Laus provided valuation services and cash management, closed unprofitable divisions and redeployed assets, bringing in 170% of liquidation value
Previously, Mr. Laus directed a leveraged buyout firm as CEO of Brittany Corporation, where he accumulated 13 entities. Prior to that, he was a senior executive with Federal-Mogul Group, president of Wagner Brake and Lighting and CEO of Fram Corporation.
Mr. Laus earned a bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University and an MBA from the University of Chicago. He is a trustee of Northeastern University, past chairman of the National Commission for Cooperative Education and past vice chairman of the Motor Equipment Manufacturers Association.
