With more than 20 years of experience, Greg Baracato is skilled
in crisis management, operational restructuring and interim
management. He specializes in creating value through financial
advisory services and has worked in a variety of industries,
including:

Mr. Baracato served as an interim CFO in multiple industries
and has assisted numerous companies with their restructuring
efforts. A few noteworthy assignments include:
- Served as engagement lead to a $1.6 billion multinational
energy company that was in dispute with a former Russian state;
he minimized the dispute’s operational impact and prepared
expert reports that were filed in an ICC arbitration, resulting
in damage awards of more than $1 billion
- Interim CFO of a large leasing company that was experiencing
financial and operational difficulties, where he worked with
the chairman and president to analyze and streamline operations,
resulting in a successful out-of-court reorganization that
positioned the company for future sale
- Assisted a financial services company (with more than $42
billion in mortgages under service) in preparation for its
Chapter 11 proceedings, where he worked with management and
financial and legal professionals to complete the financial
and analytical portions of the case
- Assisted an international mining company with its strategic
restructuring after numerous asbestos claims were made against
it; he led the team that quantified the associated liability
and evaluated alternative financial structures for attorney
negotiations
Mr. Baracato holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial
management and an MBA from Louisiana Tech University. He is
a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor and he serves
on the board of directors for the Dallas chapter of the Turnaround
Management Association.
