Mr. Tulin is skilled in operational assessment and financial analysis, developing effective cost-reduction strategies, creating long-term business plans, defining and implementing operational restructuring plans and providing due diligence services. Noteworthy assignments include:
- Created and established weekly cash-flow forecasting capabilities for a $300 million aluminum die-casting manufacturer and modeled multiple sales, manufacturing and cost-reduction scenarios to enable near-term business viability and incremental equity infusions
- Forecasted weekly cash flows and modeled multiple financial scenarios for a $150 million manufacturer of inboard motorboats, which supported the eventual sale to a new private-equity owner
- Assessed near-term business plan in the context of industry and general economic trends for a $300 million provider of temporary staffing services
- Managed operational assessment and process improvement for a division of a $10 billion scientific- and technical-services firm
- Directed profitability analyses and improved trade-funding and customer management for a severely underperforming $250 million snack food manufacturer, which significantly increased cash flow
- Directed strategic sourcing and the procurement-organization assessment of a $220 million glassware manufacturer, which reduced costs and improved supply chain operations
Previously, Mr. Tulin was a manager in the operational-consulting group of a national professional-services firm. Additionally, he held several positions in the finance organization of a $50 billion multinational manufacturer of consumer packaged goods, where he was the finance business partner to marketing and sales teams in the U.S. and Latin America; his efforts helped increase the profitable growth of multiple product lines and customers. He also served in business development and general management positions in various companies, including a publisher and a software provider.
Mr. Tulin holds a bachelor’s degree from Amherst College and an MBA in finance and economics from Columbia Business School.
