Michael Caruso has a solid track record for helping companies

Mr. Caruso is skilled in creating process enhancements and
managing turnaround situations, dramatically increasing productivity

resolution, process engineering, product management and corporate
leadership. Some of his noteworthy experience includes:
- Financial leader for a $500 million operating subsidiary
of a major media corporation, where he coordinated all general
accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, billing and credit
transactions
- Advisor for an operationally underperforming diabetes research
center and clinic, where he helped prepare the operating plan
and developed effective controls; the company was performing
ahead-of-plan within the first quarter
- Successfully integrated multiple businesses in the publishing
industry during an acquisition, where he coordinated budgeting,
financial transaction systems and delivery consolidation
- Significantly increased operational efficiency of and reduced
pre-press expenses for a daily metropolitan newspaper
Previously, Mr. Caruso held several leadership positions with
the New England Media Group, publisher of The Boston Globe,
where he focused on production, finance and process innovation.
He also served as an internal auditor for the General Cinema
Corporation and as an auditor for Arthur Anderson and Company.
Mr. Caruso holds a bachelor’s degree from Bentley College
and an MBA from Boston University. He is a Certified Public
Accountant, a Certified Internal Auditor and a Certified Six
Sigma Black Belt.
