Bruce A. Erickson, Partner
Bruce Erickson has 18 years of hands-on experience in asset
disposition, workouts, restructuring and liquidation management,
with a focus in wind-down management. He has led numerous engagements
involving the stabilization and strategic sale of troubled companies
and has experience in a broad range of industries, including:

Mr. Erickson has provided crisis management, refinancing,
balance sheet restructuring and valuation services to struggling
companies both in and out of bankruptcy, assisting both creditors
and debtors. Some noteworthy accomplishments include:
- In five years, sold 12 companies/business units as operating
entities to nine different strategic buyers, including the
turnaround and sale of an operating shipyard out of bankruptcy
and the rehabilitation and subsequent sale of a 346-unit low
income house project out of bankruptcy
- Assisted management of numerous financially distressed
organizations in managing cash flow, vendor and customer relations,
optimizing financial performance, and disposing of underperforming
assets
- Managed orderly wind-downs and liquidations of numerous
companies, including a textile manufacturer, a cheese manufacturer,
a specialty chemical manufacturer, an auto parts distributor,
a paper mill and converter, an internet service provider,
and a computer equipment manufacturer, to name a few
Previously, Mr. Erickson served as vice president and team
leader at Fleet Financial Group’s RECOLL Management subsidiary,
where he managed the resolution of large diversified portfolios
of distressed loans, including asset-based, project-finance,
commercial and real estate loans. While at Fleet, he also served
as vice president and portfolio manager of an asset-based loan
portfolio, which included manufacturers, distributors and service
providers.
Mr. Erickson graduated with a bachelor’s degree in economics
and an MBA from the University of New Hampshire. He holds the
Certified Turnaround Practitioner designation from the Turnaround
Management Association.
