Daniel W. Evarts, Managing Director
Dan Evarts has over 12 years of experience as a turnaround
and strategy consultant, with a concentration in valuation services.

Mr. Evarts has built his valuation expertise through both
distressed and non-distressed M&A and consulting assignments.
In the last five years he has prepared over 50 valuations of
distressed businesses, minority ownership interests and intellectual
property assets for loan workouts, restructurings, 363 sales,
bankruptcy reorganizations, solvency analyses and fairness opinions.
His professional experience also includes:
- Crisis manager/managing turnaround consultant for numerous
distressed organizations, such as a $500 million contract
manufacturer, a $160 million aerospace parts manufacturer,
a coffee-house franchisor and a home healthcare company
- Led three management teams of a $1.5 billion division with
negative earnings through a strategic turnaround plan, significantly
increasing profits
- Responsible for the evaluation, management and sale of
numerous unique assets held by distressed or liquidating owners,
including royalty generating patents, patent ownership rights
and venture-backed companies, to name a few
Previously, Mr. Evarts worked as an internal consultant in
a general manager development program at Cargill. Mr. Evarts
also served as an officer in the U.S. Army, leading troops in
the 2nd Infantry Division and serving with U.S. Army Space Command
during Operation Desert Storm.
Mr. Evarts has a bachelor’s degree in economics and political
science from Yale University and an MBA in finance and marketing
from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management. He has
earned both the Certified Turnaround Professional and the Certified
in Distressed Business Valuations accreditations and he was
the 2006 Silver Medal winner of the Certified Insolvency and
Restructuring Advisor (CIRA) accreditation, with the second
highest test scores in the nation.
