John E. Hanson, Director
John Hanson’s experience includes serving as a Chapter
11 advisor, conducting financial statement reviews and business
valuations, and developing forecasting models. Mr. Hanson joined
CRG Partners after completing business school, where he was
selected as one of 16 participants for Fannie Mae’s corporate
finance summer internship program. In addition, he participated
in consulting projects for several companies, including PricewaterhouseCoopers
LLP and Pfizer.
Prior to business school, Mr. Hanson served as a senior investment
accountant for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company and worked in
the Boston office of Ernst & Young’s Audit practice,
where he conducted annual reviews of Fortune 500 companies.

Mr. Hanson is highly skilled in financial analysis, assisting
management in developing restructuring and cost reduction plans.
In the course of his assignments, he has analyzed financial
impact and EBITDA improvement initiatives, monitored treasury
activity, and developed a financial plan to support approval
and solicitation of debtor-in-possession financing. In addition,
he has:
- Prepared six-month P&L and cash flow forecasts for
a $80 million family photography company; forecasts incorporated
information from a detailed 13-week model and a monthly model
- Developed a 13-week cash flow model, including all necessary
supporting schedules, for a $50 million plastic container
manufacturer
- Prepared schedules, detailing the historical financial
activity of a bankrupt technology conglomerate to aide in
creditors’ litigation claim
- Developed a weekly availability forecast and a 13-week
cash flow model for a $50 million packaging company
Mr. Hanson holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from
the University of Richmond and an MBA from Boston College.
