John E. Hanson

John Hanson has more than 10 years of experience advising companies through the restructuring process, conducting financial statement reviews and business valuations, and developing financial forecasting models. He has experience in several industries, including:

Mr. Hanson is highly skilled in financial analysis, assisting management in developing restructuring and cost reduction plans. In the course of his assignments, he has analyzed financial impact and EBITDA improvement initiatives, monitored treasury activity, and developed a financial plan to support approval and solicitation of debtor-in-possession financing. In addition, he has:

  • Performed creditor-side financial analysis of $250 million high-end shoe manufacturer to identify timing and magnitude of liquidity shortfall, as well as, assessed Company’s Income statement and Balance sheet
  • Developed business plan for $125 million photo services company, incorporating cost savings related to integration of acquired businesses
  • Developed 12-month P&L and cash-flow forecasts for $400 million textile manufacturing company, in order to secure over-advance with Secured lenders
  • Prepared integrated six-month P&L and cash flow forecasts for a $200 million international consulting firm, as component of long-term forbearance agreement
  • Previously, Mr. Hanson served as a senior investment accountant for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company and in the Boston office of Ernst & Young’s Audit practice, where he conducted annual reviews of Fortune 500 companies. where he was one of a select few who were chosen to participate in a corporate finance summer internship program.

Mr. Hanson holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Richmond and an MBA from Boston College, where he was one of a select few who were chosen to participate in a corporate finance summer internship program.
