• Business administrator for a city with an annual budget of more than $800 million, where he implemented significant cost-reduction initiatives and led the state and federal lobbying efforts, which brought vital financial aid and federal appropriations
• Co-founded and held a variety of executive management positions for a publisher and operator of consumer magazines, including director of consumer marketing, where he grew the subscription base to 1.2 million users; he also served as chief restructuring officer during the company's Chapter 11 proceedings
• Served in various executive management positions for an educational services provider, including vice president of operations, where he grew the business 400% in one year
• Researched and evaluated investment opportunities for a private equity firm managing over $800 million in investment capital, where he conducted due diligence reviews, monitored portfolio performance and provided various analyses

Mr. Kemp holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Yale University and an MBA from Harvard University. In addition, Mr. Kemp is a founder and chairman of the Young Tycoon Fund, a nonprofit organization that seeks to further the development of young entrepreneurs. Mr. Kemp also serves on the board for the Newark Downtown Core Redevelopment Corporation.
