Kyle T. Richter

Kyle Richter has nearly 15 years of experience providing financial and operational consulting services to publicly and privately held companies. He has served clients in a variety of industries, such as:

Mr. Richter’s assignments have included performing senior financial management functions for client companies in crisis, developing and implementing turnaround business plans, financial analysis and due diligence, managing and monitoring cash flow, restructuring debt and bank advisory work in both out-of-court and Chapter 11 reorganizations.  Representative engagements include:

  • Acting CFO for a baby portraits company, where he developed and implemented operational and financial improvement initiatives that enabled the company to reduce costs, secure additional funding and restructure its debt
  • Developed a financial and operational restructuring plan for a $100 million cookie and snack food franchisor and advised them through a pre-packaged bankruptcy that successfully converted $200 million in public unsecured notes to equity
  • Prepared and implemented a restructuring plan for a $1 billion multi-disciplined construction company, which resulted in the successful re-payment of senior debt
  • Acting vice president of finance and treasurer for a $500 million electronic enclosures manufacturer with worldwide locations, where he was involved with overseeing the finance department, preparing budgets, managing working capital and assisting with the sale of non-core business units
  • Developed an operational restructuring plan and budget for a $100 million defense contractor with business units in the U.S. and Europe, where he implemented working-capital and cash management controls
  • Prepared and implemented a consolidation plan for a $500 million pre-media and advertising company, which resulted in the successful sale of the business as a going concern
  • Performed post-acquisition due diligence services for an airline ground support equipment manufacturer, which resulted in a 15% purchase price reduction through the re-valuation of working capital

Previously, Mr. Richter was with Ernst & Young, LLP in a financial and auditing capacity. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Skidmore College and a master’s degree in accounting and an MBA from Northeastern University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor.
