C. Dustin Lough, Director

Dustin Lough has over 13 years of experience in turnaround, crisis management, business valuation and acquisition due diligence. He has worked in a wide variety of industries, including:

  • Specialty chemicals
  • Distribution

Mr. Lough is skilled in implementing effective turnaround strategies, crisis management, cash flow management and creditor advisory services. In addition, he is an accomplished interim executive, having served in interim management positions in Eastern Europe and the United Kingdom. A few of his assignments include:

  • Chief restructuring officer (CRO) for a grocery and frozen food distributor, where he provided cash management services, negotiated debt restructuring with various creditors, and managed the business toward positive cash flow and profitability
  • Managed cash during a liquidating Chapter 11 of an integrated steel mill, where he monitored cash receipts, determined the necessity/adequacy of disbursements and successful sold inventory and assets
  • Validated operating and business plan for a consolidator of advertising agencies, digital imaging companies and marketing services firms, where he identified the risks associated with the company (relative to the bank’s proposed funding) and opined on the viability of the company’s operations
  • Managed relationships with trade creditors and debtors of an international technology consulting firm, where he enhanced liquidity and operational cash flow through bankruptcy, yielding a cash dividend to equity holders

Previously, Mr. Lough was with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in the Corporate Value Consulting practice, where he advised business owners and management on valuation and due diligence issues associated with acquisitions, divestitures and corporate planning.

Mr. Lough holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Auburn University and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He also maintains the Certified Insolvency and Reorganization Advisor accreditation.
