Donald R. Martin, Director
For more than 15 years, Donald Martin has served distressed
companies in executive level positions such as president, CEO,
COO and CFO. Mr. Martin has a national and international background
in turnaround management, restructuring, cash flow improvements,
bankruptcies, acquisitions and divestitures, and he has experience
in a variety of industries, including:

Mr. Martin has helped bring value to underperforming companies
in several capacities. In one assignment, he served as CFO and
chief restructuring officer of a $500 million multi-state retail
company during its Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization. Mr.
Martin was responsible for asset disposition, DIP financing,
creditor negotiations, claims resolution, expert testimony and
plan preparation. Other noteworthy engagements include:
- Consultant, interim CFO and CEO for a Venezuelan oil field
services company, where he directed an operational turnaround
that resulted in the company’s leading position in servicing
the multinational operators of western Venezuela
- Interim CFO for a start-up high tech company, where he
authored a complete prospectus through final approval by the
SEC
- Provided turnaround planning for a $100 million seismic
service company emerging from bankruptcy
- Consultant to a charter airline operator, where he later
served as bankruptcy consultant and financial advisor to the
Chapter 7 Trustee
- Turnaround professional for a manufacturing subsidiary of
a NYSE-traded building materials manufacturer
- Provided profit enhancement services during an out-of-court
restructuring for an oilfield service company, including acquisition
due diligence
In addition, Mr. Martin served as CFO and director of a multinational
engineering construction company and has performed due diligence
for major banks, sureties and private investors on a number
of proposed transactions.
Mr. Martin holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from
the University of Detroit.
