Matthew Farrell is skilled in financial modeling, business analysis, cash management, risk assessment, mergers and acquisitions, financing and investment due diligence. He has experience in a variety of industries, including:

Mr. Farrell has supported a number of investments with due diligence services, including various analyses and assessments, financial modeling and investment underwriting. Noteworthy accomplishments include:

• Provided cash management, business analysis, creditor management, as well as financial projections and budgeting to a $120 million protective apparel manufacturer
• Advised an $8.5 billion poultry processor, during its Chapter 11 restructuring process, where he provided preference analysis, litigation support, creditor interaction, absolute priority analysis, claims analysis and settlement, as well as liquidation analysis in support of the Disclosure Statement
• Advised an oil and gas services company on potential restructuring options, including building a financial projection model and weekly cash flow forecast
• Led due diligence for the funding of an international finance company, where he subsequently developed and executed a wind-down plan that included the run-off of its U.S. and Canadian assets and a successful sale of its U.K. business
• Assisted a business services company with funding for the acquisition of franchisees and refinancing of debt
• Assisted with a successful workout and refinancing of an investment in a consumer products company
• Enabled the financial restructuring of a geothermal power project by providing a $150 million credit facility

Prior to joining CRG Partners, Mr. Farrell was an associate in the special situations group of Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he was responsible for underwriting, screening and managing  private debt and equity investments.Previously, Mr. Farrell was an investment analyst with Prudential Capital Group, where he focused on underwriting and managing investments in electric utilities and power generation facilities. 

Mr. Farrell holds a bachelor's degree from The University of Texas at Austin, where he majored in finance with a concentration in accounting. He is also as a Certified Insolvency Restructuring Advisor.
