Leading companies as an interim executive, Jon Nash has planned and managed reorganization and turnaround strategies, negotiated placements of debt and equity and successfully guided companies through bankruptcy and out-of-court restructuring. Mr. Nash has extensive international experience and, having
lived in China, has managed many companies throughout the Pacific
Rim, the Middle East, China and Europe. With more than a decade
of senior-management experience in a broad mix of companies,
he has extensive experience providing strategic leadership in
crisis situations, solving short-term cash related issues and
implementing financial planning, budgeting and expense control.
Recent assignments include:
- CEO of a textiles manufacturer with operations in Dothan, Alabama and in Qingdao and Kaiping, China
- CEO and chief restructuring officer (CRO) for Uniflex, an advertising specialties company that he successfully led through bankruptcy; reduced costs, grew EBITDA during a period of declining sales and managed the marketing and sale of the assets to a financial buyer
- CRO for Jing Liang Electronics in Shenzhen, China, a company that produces sensors for a variety of industrial, medical and consumer applications; reorganized financial and operational areas, implemented an MRP system, and made process and productivity improvements that led to record production and profitability levels
- Interim CFO for The Museum Company, a retail chain acquired from bankruptcy; actions included due diligence, completion of the purchase transaction and wind-down of the estate; reduced the store count to 53 from 102, while increasing EBITDA and freeing cash trapped in inventory
- Interim CEO of a specialty plastics manufacturer, where his operations experience and engineering training helped him increase production rates on three major production lines while reducing overall costs
Mr. Nash received his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. Mr. Nash is active in the Turnaround Management Association and serves on the board of directors of Build Inc. in Chicago, an organization helping Chicago's youth avoid gangs. In the past he has served as president of the McMurry University Family Business Center and on the board of the Abilene Opera Association.
