Mike Rowan has 10 years of experience working in management and consulting for distressed organizations, specializing in the optimization and analysis of information systems. He has performed duties as interim executive management, telecommunications analyst and served many organizations in various capacities to support the restructuring efforts.
In providing management, consulting and technical services to information systems departments, Mr. Rowan has minimized recurring IT expenses and brought the organizations' corporate technological objectives into focus for the staff and IT management.
Mr. Rowan has performed audits and prepared white papers on the status of information systems departments, developments, resources and potential for several investment groups in the process of due diligence prior to investment or reinvestment.
Through his efforts as a consultant, Mr. Rowan has renegotiated long-term outsourcing and telecommunications service contracts for savings of up to $4 million annually for one organization and has done similar work for many others.
His engagements have included:
- Management or management consulting for outsourcing, telecommunications, media and healthcare industries
- Assisting a healthcare organization in reorganizing a practice management and claims processing subsidiary, which was losing approximately $3 million annually; within one year, the company achieved sufficient profitability to be sold to a new ownership group
- Founding and selling a successful consulting group specializing in the sales and support of physician practice management software
Before working as a consultant, Mr. Rowan was vice president of one of the largest IBM business partners in the Southeast, a Florida-based consulting firm and value-added reseller. As one of the founders, he worked double duty as management and engineer throughout the early development of the company. He has strong technical skills and a solid understanding in all areas of information technology.
Mr. Rowan studied music and physics at Florida State University, Tallahassee, Florida.
