Over the years, Mr. Stone has developed a reputation for quickly assessing complex situations and devising a corresponding strategic plan to address the company’s needs, resources and opportunities. Notable accomplishments include:

• Led the restructuring of an educational textbook publisher, where he enabled a smooth transition from print to digital product lines and implemented new technologies and programs that grew revenue, increased cash flow and reduced marketing and manufacturing costs
• Served as CFO for a holding company with assets in the retail, toy design, real estate and restaurant sectors, where he provided crisis management services and developed restructuring plans that protected the existing asset value for shareholders and stabilized the ongoing entity
• Provided advisory services to stakeholders of a direct marketing company during its Chapter 11 proceedings, where he identified a profitable and valuable core business that paved the way for their reorganization plan to be confirmed by the court; in addition, he led the asset sale process, which resulted in a full return to all creditors
• Managed the wind-down of a $250 million trucking company in Chapter 11 proceedings, where he secured a return for creditors that was greater than anticipated
• Created extremely complex cash-flow models for an energy distribution company during its acquisition bidding process, which resulted in a value several times higher than the original bid

Mr. Stone holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Oklahoma State University and a bachelor’s degree in animation and filmmaking from California Institute of the Arts. Mr. Stone has served as director on a number of boards, including start-ups, non-profits and corporations.
