• President and CEO of a consulting and design firm serving the telecommunications and data communications industries, where he assessed clients’ needs, evaluated vendors and made recommendations for IT systems modernization
• Project manager and consultant for a telecommunications company, where he negotiated the installation of a optical-fiber communications system for a public transportation entity
• Independent consultant for a multi-site national corporation, where he implemented software-based network management systems that linked approximately 4,000 networking devices
• Engineering and optical-fiber project manager for an optical-fiber network company, where he developed optical-fiber splicing and testing capabilities with a sister company that created a turnkey construction capability for optical-fiber systems
• Senior consultant for a professional services firm that specializes in data communications networks, where he performed needs analyses and developed recommendation reports for clients

Mr. Calderon has a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix and an associate’s degree in electronic engineering from College of the Canyons. He also earned a California State Contractor’s License in general engineering, is a Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD)and holds an RCDD LAN Specialist Designation and a RCDD OSP Specialist Designation. In addition, Mr. Calderon has helped create programs/committees for Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI), an international telecommunications association, and has served on its executive board for the past 10 years.
